About Phil
Phil McCredden Dip Min, BTheol, MA (Church Leadership) is the principal consultant of Ecclesia Leadership and an experienced leader, facilitator, trainer, and coach.
Phil’s passion is seeing congregations shape themselves around a mission to make a difference in their local communities.

A former local minister in Churches of Christ for over twenty years, Phil was the ministry team leader of the ministry team for Northern Community Church of Christ, leading it for thirteen years through the process of merging four local churches, establishing a community centre, and developing a multi-congregational innovative approach to creating new faith communities in non-traditional settings.
​
With a Bachelor of Theology degree majoring in counselling and a Master of Arts with a major in leadership, Phil has worked as a consultant, trainer and coach to ministers, church leadership teams, congregations, and denominational systems, using his wealth of experience to help churches undergoing similar transitions and challenges in a post-Christendom world. Past projects have included consulting for Manningham Uniting Church as it merged four congregations and providing coaching and training facilitation for the Salvation Army.

​Additionally, Phil is writing a book on the experience of Australian churches forming shared futures to respond to the post-Christendom world.
